A selfie of Becca in a fuzzy pink sweater, the desert sand and sky behind her.I am a program and project administrator who’s passionate about cultural heritage, sustainability, and social change.

In my prior role as Program Officer at the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR), I facilitated the funding of more than 80 grants—including the first cohort of ‘Digitizing Hidden Collections: Amplifying Unheard Voices’ recipients, supported by the Mellon Foundation—and assisted grantees throughout their digitization projects. I also had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a partnership with the HBCU Library Alliance. Our initiatives included research projects, fellowship programs, and convenings that laid the foundation for “creating access to HBCU archives” together. I contributed to the creation and maintenance of systems, websites, communications, processes, and procedures across programs and also coordinated events and conducted outreach pertinent to the grant programs.

Prior to that, as a Program Associate at CLIR, I oversaw fellowship programs, supported working groups, and helped plan the annual conference for the Digital Library Federation (DLF): a vibrant and collaborative community of digital library practitioners.

I strive to cultivate a welcoming environment for community members, to lead and sustain diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and to provide clear, thoughtful input in support of projects large and small. As a student, I was an intern at the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. I hold a BA in American History & Art History and an MLS in Archives, Records, and Information Management.

I’m the daughter of a custodian and an elementary school teacher, a mixed-race Chinese American, and a resident of the California desert. My passions include baking and gardening, cozy gaming, and my three cats, Olive, Charley and Maya.
